Epoxy Pipe Coating in Woodland Hills, CA
Tearing up your yard to fix a sewer line is no longer the only option, and in most San Fernando Valley homes it should not even be the first choice. Epoxy pipe coating, sometimes called CIPP (cured-in-place pipe lining), restores the inside of aging pipes from within. No backhoes. No trenches across the lawn. No tearing up driveways or hardscape. Bryco Plumbing has been rehabilitating sewer and drain lines this way across Woodland Hills, the SF Valley, LA County, and Ventura County for years. License #708581. 30+ years of plumbing experience underneath every job.

Our Epoxy Pipe Coating Process
Step 1: Camera Inspection
Step 2: Cleaning the Pipe Interior
Step 3: Liner Installation
The epoxy-saturated liner is pulled or inverted through the host pipe. Once positioned, it is inflated against the pipe walls and held in place during the curing process.
Step 4: Curing
The epoxy is cured using hot water, steam, ambient cure, or UV light depending on the liner system. Curing typically takes a few hours. The result is a hard, joint-free pipe-within-a-pipe.
Step 5: Final Inspection
Once cured, we run the camera through the newly lined pipe to verify the lining is uniform, all joints are sealed, and flow is clean. You get the inspection video as part of the deliverables on every job.
When a Small Repair Becomes a Big Problem

When Epoxy Coating Is the Right Call
- Aging cast iron or clay sewer laterals in homes built between 1950 and 1985. These materials crack, separate at joints, and get invaded by tree roots over time.
- Pinhole leaks in copper drain lines or small cracks not large enough to require full replacement
- Root intrusion at multiple joints along the same lateral, where digging up each one separately would be impractical
- Sewer lines running under driveways, hardscape, or mature trees where excavation would damage what is on the surface more than the pipe itself
- Commercial buildings where shutting down the property for traditional excavation would cost more than the repair itself
When Epoxy Coating Is Not the Right Call
Lining is not always the answer. We will tell you straight when it is not.
- Completely collapsed pipe. Lining requires the host pipe to hold its shape long enough to be lined. A fully collapsed section needs replacement, not lining.
- Severe sagging or bellies in the pipe. Lining preserves the existing geometry, so it will not fix a low spot that holds water. A belly stays a belly after lining.
- Pipe diameter that cannot accommodate the liner. Some very narrow lines cannot be lined effectively. We check with the camera first.
- Pipe with too many sharp turns or fittings. The liner has to be pulled through, and tight bends complicate the install.
What Epoxy Pipe Coating Actually Is
For most aging Valley sewer laterals (the line running from the house to the city main), epoxy coating is faster, cheaper, and far less disruptive than full sewer line replacement. The work usually completes in a single day. The yard, driveway, and hardscape stay untouched.

Frequently Asked Questions About Epoxy Pipe Coating
A properly installed epoxy pipe liner is rated for 50 years or longer. The liner is a structural product, not a temporary patch. It is bonded to the host pipe walls and seals cracks, joints, and root intrusion points permanently. We have lined pipes in Valley homes more than a decade ago that still inspect clean today.
In most cases, yes. The savings come from avoiding excavation and the associated restoration costs. A traditional sewer line replacement that requires digging up a driveway, lawn, and landscaping can run two to three times the cost of lining the same pipe. The pipe itself is just one line item. The bigger costs are usually the disruption around it.
For a typical residential sewer lateral, the whole job (cleaning, lining, and curing) takes one day in most cases. Larger commercial projects may take two to three days. You typically have full use of your plumbing the next day after curing is complete.
No, in nearly every case. The work happens outside the house, usually at the existing cleanouts. Water service stays on. The disruption is significantly less than any traditional sewer line repair or replacement.

EXCELLENT Based on 613 reviews Posted on Google Marie BiondiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On time, courteous, fair price, and sink and tub are draining well. Simi resident thanks youPosted on Google Richard DeemTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The technician, Dan, spent a number of hours replacing a broken, difficultly positioned anti-siphon valve and shutoff valve. Since the shutoff valve was broken, he had to turn off the main water line, which required calling out LADWP. Dan replaced the shutoff valve and elevated the new anti-siphon valve to make it easier to service. Dan was professional, friendly and worked systematically through very warm summer temperatures. Very nice work through a challenging task.Posted on Google Susan BernardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Leak detection. Service was scheduled promptly, and the technician arrived on time as promised. Both Dan, the technician and Brian the owner of the company were so kind and helpful. Found the leak and recommended the repairs necessary. My mother’s kitchen sink and service porch sink were both backed up, so I called Bryco Plumbing at 6:30 p.m. The owner answered the phone and was incredibly nice and helpful. Since it wasn’t an emergency, Mike came out the following morning. Mike was professional, polite, and efficient. He snaked the pipe and had everything flowing properly again. He even took a moment to give my big dog some love, which was an added bonus! 😊 I highly recommend this company. Great customer service, fair response time, and excellent work!Posted on Google Emily WagnerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 8/3/26 Had Bryco out again today. They installed a clean out for our kitchen line outside and used the bigger hydrojet to clear the line. As always, they were fantastic. Today it was Dan and Matteo, but super nice and informative and then Bryan came to do the hydrojet. I continue to be super happy with everyone at Bryco. We also had them about a month ago because one of the shower pans in a bathroom leaked. I wouldn’t have known anything about submitting to insurance for damages, but Bryco reached out to Rapid Response and they got in touch with us and they have been helping us with restoration and repairs and submitting claims to insurance. I’m incredibly grateful that Bryco was able to connect us with them right away!!! 3/25/26 Had Bryco out again today for a clogged sink and a broken garbage disposal. Michael showed up about 5 mins after my two hour window started. Gave me clear pricing and info about next steps. Everyone who has ever come out from Bryco has been fantastic and we’ve called them many times since we moved to Woodland Hills in 2018. Bryco is awesome!! 11/24/23 I’ve been using Bryco plumbing now for a few years. It’s always a pleasure to see Dan when he comes to fix something. This time we had a clogged kitchen sink two days before Thanksgiving (ack!) Called Bryco at 7am on Wednesday and Dan was at our house by 1pm. One hour later, the line was hydrojetted and our kitchen was back in business!!! Thank you Dan and Bryco for great quick service! I called about an unattached pipe under our sink, and Brian sent Daniel to our house with in 3 hours. Daniel was able to fix it within 10 mins, AND happened to have the right plug for an outside pipe that I had been looking for a cap for. Great fast service. I will call them again!Posted on Google Eric OmegaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Josue did a remarkable job repairing our toilet. He clearly explained what the issue was every step of the way. He even cleaned the corrosion caused by the leak around the base of the toilet. It’s a privilege to have Bryco as our go-to plumbing service.Posted on Google Ryan VallanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Called Brian on a Friday, explaining the importance of rerouting a pipe pre-inspection. He was out here the very next day for a quote. Work was carried out on the exact date and time needed, and helped us greatly in meeting our deadline and expectation. Will definitely be our go-to from here on out, and wouldn’t hesitate to send friends and clients their way.
