Family Plumbing in the Valley — Since 1995

About Bryco Plumbing

Bryco Plumbing has been the plumber Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, and Ventura County families and businesses call for over three decades. We are family-owned, family-operated, and still run by the same family that started the company in 1995. Brian Hafner is the owner. He is on the phone, in the trucks, and at the jobs that need his eye.

Every quote that gets written and every warranty that gets honored runs through people whose name is on the company. That is the entire story behind Bryco, and the reason 500+ customers have left five-star reviews on Google.

Our Story

Thirty Years, One Family, One Phone Number

Bryco Plumbing started in 1995 with a single truck, a Woodland Hills phone number, and a commitment to do plumbing the right way for the homes and businesses of the San Fernando Valley. Three decades later, the truck count is higher, the team is bigger, and the service area covers most of LA County and Ventura County. The thing that has not changed is who runs it and how.

We have completed thousands of jobs across the Valley, from a clogged kitchen drain in Tarzana to a full sewer line replacement in Encino to commercial buildouts in Sherman Oaks restaurants. We have repaired the same kinds of leaks in homes built in the 1950s that we worked on twenty years ago, and installed tankless water heaters in homes that did not exist when the company started. The work changes. The standards do not.

Owner

Brian Hafner

Founder & Owner, Bryco Plumbing

“I founded Bryco in 1995. I still pick up the phone, walk the jobs, and sign the warranty. The company never grew to the point where I disappeared into an office. Every crew working in your home is accountable to me directly. Every customer with a problem can talk to me personally. That is not a marketing line, it is how we actually operate.”

California Contractor’s License #708581,  current and in good standing through the CSLB since 1995.

Five Values

The Values That Run This Company

From the first job in 1995 to the most recent job today, these five values are the actual filter for how we run Bryco. They are not posters on a wall.

01

Courtesy

Our crews arrive on time, in clean uniforms, in clearly marked trucks. They wear shoe covers indoors, lay drop cloths on finished floors, and treat your property the way they would want their own treated. The plumber at your door is a guest in your home, not a contractor stomping through it.

02

Punctuality

If we schedule a 10 a.m. arrival, we are there at 10. If something pushes the window, you get a phone call before the appointment window closes, not after. Your time is worth what ours is worth, we act like it.

03

Honesty

Honest diagnosis. Honest pricing. Honest recommendations on whether to repair or replace. If a unit has five years of life left and a $200 part will get it there, we say so. We do not run a commission-based sales structure that pushes upsells, because that structure is the enemy of honest plumbing.
04

Integrity

We do what we said we would do, for the price we said we would do it for, in the timeline we said we would do it in. If something during the job changes any of those three, we tell you immediately, in writing, and we adjust together. No surprises on the invoice.
05

Professionalism

Licensed, insured, background-checked, drug-tested, and continuously trained. Permits pulled when permits are required. Inspections scheduled and signed off. Warranties documented in writing. The work is professional because the people doing it are.
Local Knowledge

“After 30 years here, you stop guessing.”

Plumbing in Woodland Hills is not the same as plumbing in Phoenix or Boston. The water chemistry is different. The housing stock is different. The geology is different.
Hard water is the silent killer of water heaters, faucets, and supply fittings. Maintenance, softening, and the right materials extend equipment life by years.
Homes built 1950–1985 share a failure profile: copper pinhole leaks, galvanized lines corroding from the inside, clay or cast iron sewer laterals at end of life, and slab leaks hidden for months.

Mature trees in older neighborhoods (Encino, Tarzana, Studio City, Sherman Oaks) send roots into clay sewer laterals through joints and cracks. Hydrojetting and trenchless repair, not full excavation.

Atmospheric river events have changed storm prep in SoCal. Crawl space flooding, hillside drainage, and sump pump installations are now seasonal work, not rare requests.

Older installs miss current code on Title 24 efficiency and seismic strapping. Any major replacement is a chance to bring the system up to code, important at resale and for safety.

How We Hire, And Why It Shows Up on Your Job
